To register, please complete this form and return with payment to Wakota CAER, P.O. Box 16, Cottage Grove, MN 55016 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Please note that payment must be received by August 1, 2020 in order to be registered for the class. Credit cards are accepted.
Wakota CAER River Spill Response Cooperative (RSRC) members have priority to attend class. Training is from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily, lunch and snacks are provided. Detailed agenda, directions and suggested clothing/equipment will be provided to attendees one week prior to class. Class size: Minimum – 20, Maximum-25. All registrants must be HAZWOPER certified.
3-Day Course: August 18th-20th, 2020 – Registration Fee is: $350 per person for RSRC members, $450 for non-members. Training location will be determined based on water conditions closer to training dates.

“The Whitewater Rescue Institute is from Missoula, MT and specializes in swiftwater rescue and spill response training. They offer a range of classes that emphasize responder safety and risk management, while providing hands-on training with skills needed to quickly deploy boom in fast water. Participants learn to recognize and avoid fastwater hazards, equipment, booming strategies, recovery systems, rigging onshore anchors, establishing mid-stream attachment points, creating deflection boom, containment boom, cascading chevrons, line crossings, boom vanes, boat operations and much more. The course offered for Wakota CAER will be tailored to teach spill response strategies on the Mississippi River and other slower moving rivers found in the Midwest region.”
